    This letter was sent from The Republican-Era newspaper (Murphysboro, Illinois) to the Cape City Soap Works, Cape Girardeau, MO by H. L. Williamson, editor and publisher. This weekly newspaper was the official Republican Paper of Jackson County. Letter is dated September 23, 1904. The gist of the letter - Williamson accepted the offer of 72 boxes of "Gold Brick" soap in return to run a year-long ad in The Republican-Era paper. Letterhead measures 8.50" x 11.00".
