    2 vintage  BAVARIA   PEACOCK  ROSES  iridescent  BOWLS   Pearlware
    The lovely scene of the
    peacock on the rose branch
    is evidently a transfer design.  The background lavender color has an iridescent look, especially at the bowl handle areas.  The edges have a shallow scalloping and the bowls measure 7” across from one handle to the other and 6” across from top to bottom – not a perfect round.  They are both
    marked BAVARIA
    in gilt underneath.
    In
    very good condition
    , the bowls have little evidence of wear except for a bit of soil at the bottom outside rims.
