    rrcollectibles1877 A short history.
At11 years old, in the summer of 1960, I had 8 different part time fobs. Mostlyrelating to
newspapers. Some yard maintenance and some babysitting. At first, I walked my routes in asmall, at the time, in the outer edges or LA county. Eventually I was able topurchase a new Western Flyer bicycle form Western Auto on the payment plan withmy mother cosigning. It was .00 a month for 10 months. I loved the bike.
At16 years old I left home and worked full time in a metal fabrication department for a company that made patio furniture. I was the second fastest production operator on the brake and punch out presses in the plant. The Forman was the fastest. Also crushed 4 digits on my hands.
At 19years old I was a Sargent in charge of an Airborne Infantry Squad which had a M-60machine gun crew. I was sent to the Republic of Viet Nam. Was wounded in the end of 67. When I came home I couldn't find a comfortable place to work so started my own business. In the late 60s and early 70s I made leather products, sold to a few stores and on the streets of San Francisco to the tourists. One of the first shops I sold to, when they had only two stores, was the Gap.
After about 10,000 belts and a good number of bags, satchels and key fobs Imoved on to Jewelry. I started selling my silver as a San Francisco Street Artist (San Francisco Street Artist License No 28)
As I got into gold and precious gems I moved on to art shows first in Florida then eventually up the entire east coast along with the mid-west. Atlanta, Virginia Beach, New York City, all the big towns in Ohio, then on to Detroit, Ann Arbor, Chicago, and many cities in between then back down south. While doing the touring I received over 70 awards for design and craftsmanship. By the time I was 40 I had my own jewelry store and became a Graduate Gemologist(GIA) in Delray Beach Florida. I designed, manufacturing, sold and appraising jewelry for 1100 families. During that time, I designed, developed, and taught the jewelry program for the Boca Raton Museum. I retired from the store (sold out at 50) and only took on custom work or one-of-a-kind pieces for special clients.
I moved back to Colorado (was born in Denver) about 13 years ago. Yes, I'm no spring chicken. For the last several years I have been creating works in wood. In the mean time I started collecting antique woodworking tools. I studied and worked with many a vintage tool. Realizing I could find good tools at auctions and bring them to the public at a lower price that I had been paying.
ILOVE OLD TOOLS MOSTLY WOODWORKING TOOLS BUT I MAY VARY A LITTLE. I ALSO LIKEART AND CRAFTS, HAVING BEEN A CRAFTSMAN ALL MY LIFE. I BUY WHAT I LIKE,SOMETIMES IT DOSE NOT MAKE IT TO AUCTION IF I LIKE IT TO MUCH. SOMETIMES I CANONLY KEEP IT FOR A WHILE.
