    Original May 10, 1902 letter from the Secretary of State's Office announcing that Ben Haymond of Rock Point has been appointed a Notary Public by the Governor.  Includes a page of rules concerning the appointment of Notaries Public and also the original mailing envelope.  Addressed to George Brownell of Oregon City, a state senator and later mayor of Oregon City.  Good condition, minor blemishes of age.
