    Description

For your consideration is this remarkable Doll that was created in 1941 to help with ambulances in Britain.
This doll is made of resin with molded facial features and socks and shoes. She has fleecy blonde hair with a red ribbon bow,  A little white dress with Rickrack and matching panties. She still has her original hang tag.  I can just imagine somebody’s daddy buying this for his little girl before he went to war.  These dolls were produced in 1941 WWII by Margit Nilsen Studios NYC USA and represents a 7 year old . The dolls were advertised to encourage people to: " buy them to aid the British Campaign". The money raised from the sales were used to purchase medicine and ambulances for Britain during World War II. The production ended after the United States entered the war. Margit is also know for her many mannequins that were used by pattern makers! She comes from my personal collection and has always been gently displayed. She does have a cut on her knee that goes through but it feels very solid.  and that is the way I bought her I never tried to have it fixed. This is a 80 year old doll but still very valuable for her service during WWII! This comes from a smoke free home and she has no odors.
