    Description

    Attention !!!
The Australian fun bidder "Weetalibah" has bought this letter for $ 28,50 as well as 50 other items since March at my auctions and never paid for it. Beware of this Ebayer, because that is his scam with many other dealers !!!!
Original letter, written by German dentist Hans Jürgen Bewersdorff who was the head of the German dental station in Riga. Bewersdorff became known for his publication in 1934 on the surgical exposure of the temporomandibular joint.
Since there was a ghetto and concentration camp in Riga, it is also likely that Doctor Bewersdorff was confronted with or involved in it
The doctor wrote the following lines:
Doctor Bewersdorff, Head of the German Dental Station
    Riga, 4.4.1944
    Adolf Hitler street 4/6, W 24
    Dear brother !
My warmest congratulations on your 35th birthday, also on behalf of Gisela, although I assume that she will write to you separately. I wish you for the coming year all that you hope for yourself, a strong offspring and a happy turn of the war events. I sent a hopefully welcome package yesterday, hopefully it will arrive this time. Gisela is still in Kalisch at the moment and will stay there for another 4-5 weeks to see what the situation will be like. Hopefully, a positive clarification will have been reached by then. At the moment I feel quite isolated, but it doesn't help and very few people today are in the fortunate position of being able to be together with their family. Hopefully, everyone is alive and well with you. Please let me hear from time to time how it looks there. Is your apartment still in order and what does our house in the Knesebach street? The last air raids should have been very ugly again. For you, the daytime raids are certainly horrible. Surprisingly, we were spared, while Reval and Dorpat were hit very hard. Perhaps the Russians fear the strong flak and of course also the army! Many warm greetings and best wishes for your upcoming birthday celebration. Your Hans Jürgen
