This seatpost is for internally routed cables only. This seatpost does not work with externally routed cables. Your frame must have internally routed cable ports. The cable for the remote needs to run inside the frame.
The handlebar remote can be mounted in any orientation: left side, right side, top or bottom of the handlebar.
